News 12’s Cecilia Dowd and NewsdayTV’s Ken Buffa will co-emcee the 2026 PCLI Media Awards and Long Island Journalism Hall of Fame Induction Dinner on Thursday, June 4, at 6:30 p.m. at The Fox Hollow in Woodbury.
Cecilia Dowd is a reporter for News 12 Long Island and president of the Press Club of Long Island. She spent nearly a decade as an assignment editor at News 12 before becoming a reporter. She worked at FiOS1 News and NewsdayTV before returning to News 12 Long Island in 2023.
Ken Buffa is an Emmy, Murrow, and duPont award-winning journalist and the evening anchor at NewsdayTV. Over the past decade, he’s reported for major outlets including NBC, Nexstar and Newsday, building a reputation for energetic storytelling and connecting with audiences across broadcast and digital platforms.
