Nomination Period for PCLI Board of Directors Is Open

The Press Club of Long Island annual election is coming up on June 30. All PCLI members in good standing are eligible to vote. Those interested in running for the board must declare their intention by June 16 by emailing the board secretary, Chrissy Sampson, at [email protected]. Please include your SPJ membership number, a five-sentence biography and a five-sentence statement on why you wish to serve on the PCLI board. Your biography and statement will be distributed to members prior to the election.
Eligibility for Board membership: Membership on the Board of Directors shall be limited to PCLI members in good standing who meet the criteria and qualifications for SPJ active members, who have demonstrated their interest in a board position by volunteering on a PCLI committee, attending programs and attending board meetings as guests.
Terms on the Board of Directors are for two years. The Board of Directors chooses the president, vice president, secretary and treasurer annually following the election.
